Congratulations on Ten Years at Tightsplease Annalie!!!

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

To celebrate ten very fabulous years at Tights Please our very wonderful PR Director, Annalie, was treated to afternoon tea today at Claridges as well as a very fabulous iPad (and a cheeky glass of wine judging by the photo’s!)

I’ve been here for less than a year but it was obvious from the very beginning that Annalie has played such an enormous part in getting Tights Please to where it is today. From appearing in the very fabulous fashion magazines to being the go-to hosiery company for celebrities world wide, it’s Annalie’s hard work and dedication, over the years, who Tights Please has to thank for its success!

Although I’ll be leaving Tights Please in just over two months, (I know I can also speak on behalf of the other two placement students, Bex and Gem, when I say this too) that I’ve learnt an awful lot from Annalie in such a very short space of time and I’ll take a lot with me. Her hard work and dedication is a huge inspiration to us and she has been a really incredible person to work with over the past ten months! I’ll

Congratulations on Ten Years at Tights Please!

Thank you so much for everything, Annalie.

What Does Your Hosiery Say About You?

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Looking for a promotion? You might want to start thinking about what to wear on your legs.

Whilst I’m sure your ability plays a contributing part (as well as your gender and age, if this week’s ‘positive discrimination’ topic is to be believed.) according to The Wall Street Journal, the colour and style of your tights also plays an important role.

Wool tights remind us of our school days, and being on the playground. Wearing these in the office is un-likely to get us any further than office

assistant. If you’re looking for a promotion, it’s better to leave wool tights for the weekend.

This season’s Punk trend, as seen on catwalks such as Balmain, Burberry and Balenciaga is also best saved for evenings and weekends, especially if you work in the financial sector. Patty Edwards, commented how she’s “not likely to feel good leaving my money there” with someone dressed like a Goth. So the super on trend Pretty Polly Shredded Tights are more suitable after work!

If you’re looking for a promotion, it’s best to take the advice of Sarah Whittaker, an image consultant, who explains that purple is a power colour; those who wear purple tights are most likely to be perceived as being in control. Better stock up on purple tights now!

Listen To Tightsplease On BBC West Midlands Radio!

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

So this morning, Charles, The Director, and I had the exciting opportunity of visiting BBC West Midlands Radio this morning!

Braving the arctic weather, in HEELS! Three pairs of layered up black opaque tights and a lot of scarves, we were interviewed by Shane O’Conner. Initially we were scheduled to be on with Joanne Malin, however, she’d been totally snowed in at home and so we had the pleasure of Shane instead!

Overwhelmed by the lengths that our loyal tights shoppers will go to, for a pair of tights; Wolford Bondage Tights, Shane was enthusiastic, especially when we mentioned our Tights for Men Campaign!!!

To listen to the interview, visit the BBC website now http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00cqrpx/Mornings_with_Joanne_Malin_21_12_2010/, we are 1 hour and 7 minutes into the programme!

Hope you’re not too snowed in!
