Control Unsightly Cellulite Now!!!

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

Everyone has cellulite, even Kate Moss! So when Jennifer Metcalf stepped out on a beach this week displaying her enviably slim waist and not so enviable orange peel skin we’re reminded that even the celebrities amongst us aren’t exempt from cellulite!

So knowing that a few celebs suffer from cellulite might make us feel a bit better, as we tuck into another Twix, but it isn’t going to resolve the dimples that have set up camp on our thighs.

No, the Twix isn’t going to do much good, but a pair of control tights will. If it’s the top of the legs where you’re suffering the most the Aristoc High Leg Toner Tights, £5.25, is exactly what you need to control unsightly cellulite! Or if you suffer from uneaven skin tone and cellulite at the bottom of your legs Aristoc Low Leg Toner Tights, £8.50, do the same job to the lower half of your legs. For all over coverage the Charnos Killer Figure Control Tights, £5.50, are a dream come true!

Hosiery Idea’s: Mother of the Bride

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

Following on from yesterdays blog where we told you about the best shapewear, lingerie and hosiery for the bride today is the Mother of the Bride’s turn!

To give you an idea of how important it is for the Mother of the Bride to look her best at all times during the big day take a look at how much attention Kate Middleton’s Mum got on the day of the Royal Wedding.

So with this in mind, let’s start with shapewear. I’d recommend the Trinny and Susannah Bum, Tum and Thigh reducer, £35.99, same as yesterday. It really does give maximum control, smooth and shape. If you’re wearing pastels or a pale outfit make sure that you choose the Skin colour; shapewear showing through your outfit is definitely NOT a good look!

When I’ve spoken to Mother of the Brides in the past their legs have always been a major problem zone; Varicose veins, uneven skin tone or cellulite have all played havoc with Mummies compromising their outfits in order to hide their legs. With brands such as Charnos, Wolford, Pretty Polly and Aristoc all introducing great sheer, suuportive hosiery collections designed around concealing these problems Mother of the Brides can be safe in the knowledge that they can look fabulous on the day of the wedding! Favourites include:

Pretty Polly Medium Support Tights, £4.00

Aristoc Low Leg Toner Tights, £8.50

Wolford Miss W Tights, 15 Denier, £22.99

Wolford Miss W Tights, 15 Denier, £20.99

Charnos Killer Figure Sheer Control Tights, £5.50

Shapewear VS Slimming World

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

So it’s the last three weeks of our placement and the next couple of weeks are filled with lunches, dinners and nights out. Today marked the first Lunch to say goodbye to Annalie, our very wonderful Tightsplease PR Director.

After a week of being (virtually) synn free (Three quarters of Team Tightsplease has been taken over by the cult that is Slimming World) we’ve over indulged in the wine bar near the office and so we’re joining the 70.59% of our customers who would rather eat chocolate and wear Shapewear than diet. If you haven’t taken part in our survey yet, you’re sure to spot our quick poll whilst you’re browsing the site. Don’t forget to vote!

There is free delivery on all Shapewear at the minute, simply enter the voucher code ‘shaped2′ in the voucher code box at the checkout. Just another excuse to go and raid the chocolate cupboard! It’s almost the weekend, treat yourself to some Shapewear and a Flake … I am!

Calling All Size Six Ladies – Would You Wear Shapewear?

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

So whilst I’m sat devouring a giant packet of giant buttons and enjoying a cup of tea, this is after eating half a packet of Pringles and all before Lunch, I had a request through from one of our favourite magazines for a pair of Spanx Shapewear. On further investigation the celebrity that it was intended for is a size six and leaves me asking the question, what could she possibly need shaping or holding in?

I’m a size 10 and use my Trinny and Susannah Tummy Tucker Vest on regular occassions, usually for warmth and to smooth lines under tight clothing but I honestly can’t imagine at size 6 what there could be to hold in or smooth down? Are you a size 6? What would you wear shapewear for?

In other news, are you visiting a festival this summer? If you are keep your eye out for our new festival banners! We’ve spend the afternoon in the Tightsplease photography studios so let us know your thoughts!

A Few Of The Ladies Could Have Benefited From Shapewear

Suddenly The Only Way Is Essex Girls Amy Childs, Sam Faiers and Lauren Goodger look like royalty as the girls of the North West step out to indulge in a day at Aintree races.

If breasts weren’t begging to be hoisted from around the hem of the wearer’s maxi dress, with a support bra, they were suffering from Acrophobia somewhere around the chin area! Shapewear was ditched in favour of low cut, backless dresses displaying trashy tattoos and more cellulite than you could shake a stick at!

As for hosiery, a few girls struggled to even keep their dresses on, so I’m assuming that putting on a pair of tights was far too challenging for the tango brigade!

I’m watching Peter Kay at the NIA this evening in Birmingham. He’s definitely my favourite comedian but judging by the pictures on the Daily Mail from today’s races I honestly think I’d have had more fun at Aintree!

Talking of the Daily Mail, you might want to purchase tomorrows paper … you might find a sneaky treat! Compliments of Tights Please.

Have a fabulous evening

To Shape or Not To Shape?

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

We all know the situation. It’s (the only day of the year that it’s ever going to be) definitely over 100 degree’s outside, you’ve got an incredibly important event and planned to wear an outrageously tight (but very classy of course; think Herve Leger) dress. You’ve quit the gym, as your Spanx pants never let you down, but that was before the temperature soared and now the thought of wearing a layer of shapewear under your already tight dress is making you sweat abnormally.

So you’ll be pleased to hear that, just in time for summer, Spanx have launched their new line of shapewear. An improved version of their former successful line, their new collection features a single, incredibly breathable layer!
