Leggings became a huge high street trend almost five years ago now. No-one anticipated the popularity of the eighties inspired leg wear.
In a recent survey by tightsplease a huge 90% of people consider leggings as a wardrobe staple. They were initially forecast to be a passing trend, however product adaptations, to fit key season trends, helped the legging trend to stay fresh and in style. It’s the bold animal and floral prints, shredded styles and high shine wet look fabrics that have help to give legs to the leggings trend.
So where do we stand today? Are we still scouring the high street for statement prints or is staple black back? Fifty six per cent of those asked in the survey are slaves to classic black. Respondents took comfort from the plain, simple and chic elements that staple black offers. However it doesn’t mean that people won’t pay for extra as 66.7% would pay up to £30 for a reliable pair of leggings.
Thirteen per cent of leggings wearers are eager to expose their fabulous bottoms when wearing leggings with the remaining 87% not wanting to leave the house without using a long top or dress to cover up their derriere.
Whatever our choice in style, we’re still huge fans of leggings; 59% of us wear them at least two or three times a week! When you’re uncertain about what fashion to follow, you can be sure that you can’t fail to be in anything but on trend in leggings! They’re certainly in no danger of being eliminated from our wardrobes just yet.

Footless is the final trend for spring/summer that we have noticed is going to be huge! This trend hit the scene about 3 years ago and has grown more and more popular every season. They are now a staple in most women’s wardrobes, and I even know I have more footless tights and leggings than I do any other hosiery.
With a variation of thickness you can decide what you want to wear yours with, such as wearing high denier leggings with short dresses while still keeping your dignity. If you hit any high street it is almost impossible to miss this trend and although the trend is highly popular it is fantastic for showing your own personal style as they can be adapted to a variety of outfits.
Footless tights are perfect for taking to festivals as can be worn wit thick socks under any kind of boots to keep your feet warm and dry. When footless tights first arrived on the fashion scene a couple of years ago, I have to admit I was slightly sceptical. I have now learned to embrace their beauty as they have helped me out in many fashion dilemmas.
They are the perfect solution when you want coverage on your legs but do not want to have to cover up with jeans or trousers. Below are the perfect ways to wear our best selling footless tights and leggings.

Here at tights please we love the French company, Le Bourget. Their new products have just arrived on the site after being pined for the last few month. All the items are exquisite and have embellishments that make them stand out in a crowd because of their originality.
The oto leggings are available in chrome and black. The leggings are thick and luxurious, and can be worn simply by themselves with a top or under a dress or skirt. The leggings have fantastic sequin details making them a great buy for the embellishment trend. The chrome ones are personal favourites of mine that I am planning to wear with a body con black dress!
