Kelly Brook Gives Orange Tights A Bad Name!

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

Today Kelly Brook donned a pair of impractical heels, a cute printed dress and orange tights for a casual stroll down her country lane! Brook, who has recently designed swimwear and lingerie for New Look looked gorgeous, apart from the tights! The dress was cute, but here in the Tights Please office we had to double take when looking at her legs! Definitely thought they’d been overloaded with fake tan.

We do love coloured tights, and yellows and rust-coloured orange/reds are bang on trend but unfortunately this didn’t work out for Kelly so well. The tights weren’t orange enough to be obviously statement tights. If you’re going to opt for this look this autumn, try a high denier and a bright colour that’s going to stand out as fashion tights rather than a St Tropez accident.

Kelly would’ve been better going for a bright orange like the Le Bourget 50 Denier Coloured Opaques. However for something more autumnal, you could go for these gorgeous Pamela Mann 80 Denier tights in Rust which is the perfect hue this season and they come in loads more colours if orange isn’t for you.

And there’s still Free Delivery ladies and gentlemen so stock up your hosiery while this offers on!

Love coloured opaques?

Well French graphic designer and illustrator Jean-Paul Goude has been inspired with the variety of colours Le Bourget have and created a giant model that displays the variety of the 40 colours that will be on tights please later this year. The interest in the model attracted around 200 journalists to come and visit at the Galeries Lafayette.

The coloured opaques include a rainbow of colours to wear with any outfit so look out for these to arrive on the website.

Le Bourget currently have some silk effect tights that are very popular on our site and the silky soft finish to them makes them ideal for everyday wear. Every woman should own a pair of these to wear to work as they feeling of the tights cause no irritation and as they are 20 denier are very light and comfortable.

Other favourites that are set to be featured in Vogue in Autumn/Winter are oto leggings, these leggings are luxurious and perfect for a special occasion or night out so like the model created by Jean-Paul Goude you will get plenty of attention.

J’adore Le Bourget

Here at tights please we love the French company, Le Bourget. Their new products have just arrived on the site after being pined for the last few month. All the items are exquisite and have embellishments that make them stand out in a crowd because of their originality.

The oto leggings are available in chrome and black. The leggings are thick and luxurious, and can be worn simply by themselves with a top or under a dress or skirt. The leggings have fantastic sequin details making them a great buy for the embellishment trend. The chrome ones are personal favourites of mine that I am planning to wear with a body con black dress!

Linhir knee high sock’s are also new to the site, knee highs are always a popular and these are set to be best sellers. The ruffle and bow detailing make these socks irresistible. Unlike anything that can be found on the high street these socks are very soft.

If you are looking for an item that can be worn with almost any outfit and is ideal for wearing on warmer days and for nights out then try oto ankle highs. These are similar to the leggings as they are also embellished with sequins. The ankle socks are decorated with petal shapes around the ankle band. These socks have been compared to the peacock trend that is slowly emerging. The pattern is pretty and feminine whilst still keeping an aspect of rock glam.

Have a look at their new range and see if you love it as much as us!

Fame is back and so are legwarmers

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Fame, a 1980s musical about students of the New York academy of Performing arts is being updated. It was so popular the first time round that another film is being made in its honour. It is planned to debut on the 25th September 2009, so to get us prepared for this we have a great selection of legwarmers to get us in the performing arts mood.
Falke Striggings plain legwarmers are unbelievably thick so perfect for this time of year and are made from a mix of wool and cashmere. Le Bourget leg warmers have a real aerobic feel for them making them the perfect legwamers to reminisce about Fame in and they also look fantastic worn over tights.
Exercise regimes are also getting a kick start at this time of year so make sure you are dressed for the occasion, so dust off that leotard and get out your celebrity work out video. Aerobics can burn up to 600 calories an hour, so make sure you really look the part whilst feeling the burn.
In just a few clicks you can enable yourself to be the most stylish person in your gym and perhaps secure the new role in Fame…
