So last week seen the arrival of national stockings day and we decided to pick a few of our favourite bloggers and get them to participate in a stockings style challenge.

As many of you may now this month is breast cancer awareness month. At tightsplease we want to do our best to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause! Therefore from the 15th to the 31st October we are donating 10% of all sales on pink tights to Breast Cancer Care! This has proved successful for us before and we are determined to beat the amount of money we raised last year! The smallest donation can help this cause; with £10 breast cancer care can supply a newly diagnosed patient with an easy to understand information pack, £192 pays for the training of a health worker to run breast health workshops in their local community so help us to dig deep and show support for breast cancer care!
National Stockings Day will also take place on the 19th October so we are giving you a chance to win a piece of Charnos Hosiery as a treat! Simply click here to enter!

As you all may remember, we recently ran an exclusive Facebook competition known as the ‘Tightsplease festival frenzy’. We asked our lovely fans on Facebook to post photos of themselves on our wall in tights or socks whilst at a festival. We had some great entries to the competition, and it was a tough decision but we can now announce that Sofie dressed as Minnie Mouse, in our lovely suspender tights,at SGP festival has won our competition! Sofie has won a stylish Italian leather handbag full with all our best hosiery and all worth £350.

Here at Tightsplease, we love the work of up and coming bloggers and so we decided to set a few of our favourites a Tightsplease blogger challenge.
The bloggers involved were all sent a pair of surprise tights, unaware of what the tights were going to look like they all agreed to style the tights in their own individual way.
Although the bloggers were all sent the same pair of red or dead Erica tights, some bloggers received the tights in black and some in blue. The blogger who’s style gets the most likes in the Tightsplease office will be the lucky winner of a Tightsplease goody bag worth £100 and will also gain the title of ‘Tightsplease style challenge winner’ which they can advertise on their blog.
We have been very impressed with all of the lovely ladies outfit choices and the tights look truly fantastic.

Yesterday saw a fantastic Olympic moment with Great Britain winning their first gold medal in the 2012 Olympics. Helen Glover and Heather Stanning led Britain to their first gold medal after winning the women’s pairs final. The success continued throughout the day with Bradley Higgins winning gold in men’s cycling. The gold medal was Higgins seventh medal resulting in him being named as the most decorated British Olympian of all time, beating Sir Steve Redgrave.
It is predicted that Wiggins will earn up to £30 million within the next year in sponsorship deals. His first class performance has also been given the royal mail seal of approval on a commemorative stamp which will go on sale today, Helen Glover and Helen Stanning will also appear on stamps.
Wiggins’ success was followed by Chris Froome who won bronze in the individual time trial.
The day continued with Michael Jamieson winning silver in the 200m breaststroke final resulting in another medal from team GB. Let’s hope today brings more success for our fantastic team!
With all the over whelming success of team GB, we’re feeling very British here in the Tightsplease office and have decided to discount one of our top British brands Pretty Polly by 25% to celebrate the success!
