Heading out to the wine bar? The Charnos Shine Spot Tights will carry you straight through the evening, order now for 25% discount!

The Compact

Pint sized? Use leg lengthening patterns and designs to create the illusion of never ending pins! The Charnos Spot Opaque Tights, with decorative parallel spots do just that! Try the Charnos Sheer Lustre tights in the evening, teamed with a pair of killer heels, the shiny gloss finish will make your legs the main attraction!

The Wine Glass

Heavy thighs? Focus those envious eyes over to your skinny ankles! The Charnos Run Resist tights give your pins a flawless, natural sheen. Show off your curves; the built in control top waistline creates an ego boosting smooth silhouette. And for the evening? Merino Wool Tights. The horizontal stripes create an elongating effect, you’ll never want to take them off!

Britney Goes Green!

Friday, March 18th, 2011

For some of us reducing our carbon footprint is important something that benefits the whole world, so making a fashion accessory out of it, ala Britney Spears, is just another reason to go green!

Forget throwing away your old tights this season, ladder them to within an inch of their lives team with leather and you’ll be on to a winner!

For those of you who aren’t feeling too creative, or green, try out the Pretty Polly Shredded Fashion Tights, £8.50, or the Jonathan Aston Distressed Tights, £10, are also a great alternative to doing it yourself!

Have a great weekend!

Jessie J’s Got A Hot Hosiery Habit!

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

How many people watched the Brits last night with a genuine interest about who won the awards? Searching the pages of the fashion blogs and websites, you’d be forgiven for thinking the Brits were a fashion awards ceremony, with more coverage focusing on the outfits than the awards and their winners!

Not that I’m complaining! I love a good song, but ask me about music trivia, and I’m totally useless. Show me an outrageously cool outfit and you’ve got my full attention!

Outfit of the evening for me, has got to be Jessie J’s. Dressed in a jade green Vivienne Westwood Dress, Christian Louboutin Skyscraper Heels and Statement Wolford Nola Tights, she stood out for all the right reasons!

Jessie’s a huge fan of tights, revealing to Grazia that she has so many pairs, she could open her own tights shop!

Wolford Nola Tights are available now from Tights Please! Stock is limited and demand is high, so order your pair fast!

Prada Stripes; Tightsplease Price Tag!

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

It’s that time of year when we’re still desperately trying to watch our pennies, but with spring summer collections being delivered this week on a daily basis and our favourite designers previewing their Autumn Winter Collections, it’s getting harder and harder to resist giving ourselves a cheeky treat.

Get catwalk style, on a cost effective budget; this season Miuccia Prada’s catwalk was bursting with bright colour and candy stripes. One of the most popular prints over at Prada (as covered in Elle Magazines Bi-Annual Magazine Elle Collections) was the bottle green and black candy stripe print. Get this print in an instant with the Pamela Mann Triple Twicker Tights.

Go all out Prada and wear your Pamela Mann Triple Twicker Tights with a matching, candy striped dress. Or for understated style, but equally as Prada, wear with a plain chiffon, floaty dress.

However you choose to style your tights, we always love to see your ideas! Post your pictures to our Facebook!

Spring Summer Trend Report: Colour Blocking

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

One of this season’s most prominent trends is colour blocking. Those of you who’ve invested in the monthly fashion magazines; you’ll have found it difficult to miss the jewel colours seen at Gucci and THAT floor length skirt, in orange, green and pink, from Jill Sander.

What we love about this trend is how cost effective it can be. With a simple brightly coloured shift, a pair of Pretty Polly Coloured Opaque Tights and bold coloured jacket, you’re bang on trend in an instant!

We’ll be updating our Inspiration pages, so for more ways to embrace the Colour Block trend, keep checking our Facebook and Twitter pages!

Are we all still legging lovers?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Leggings became a huge high street trend almost five years ago now. No-one anticipated the popularity of the eighties inspired leg wear.

In a recent survey by tightsplease a huge 90% of people consider leggings as a wardrobe staple. They were initially forecast to be a passing trend, however product adaptations, to fit key season trends, helped the legging trend to stay fresh and in style. It’s the bold animal and floral prints, shredded styles and high shine wet look fabrics that have help to give legs to the leggings trend.

So where do we stand today? Are we still scouring the high street for statement prints or is staple black back? Fifty six per cent of those asked in the survey are slaves to classic black. Respondents took comfort from the plain, simple and chic elements that staple black offers. However it doesn’t mean that people won’t pay for extra as 66.7% would pay up to £30 for a reliable pair of leggings.

Thirteen per cent of leggings wearers are eager to expose their fabulous bottoms when wearing leggings with the remaining 87% not wanting to leave the house without using a long top or dress to cover up their derriere.

Whatever our choice in style, we’re still huge fans of leggings; 59% of us wear them at least two or three times a week! When you’re uncertain about what fashion to follow, you can be sure that you can’t fail to be in anything but on trend in leggings! They’re certainly in no danger of being eliminated from our wardrobes just yet.

Tadcaster Collects Legwarmers Like They’re In Fashion!!

Monday, October 25th, 2010

It’s been promised to be the musical of the year; FLASHDANCE The Musical is hitting London’s West End.

Those keen followers amongst us, and trust me there are a lot, will be reaching for our nearest pair of legwarmers!

For those of you in Tadcaster or Sedlescombe (Battle) you won’t need to reach very far! We have examined our sales statistics and has found that on average, every person living in Tadcaster or Sedlescombe owns 1.6 pairs and 1.1 pairs, respectively, of legwarmers! The national average is much less at 0.2 pairs of legwarmers per person! Clearly Tadcaster and Sedlescombe are huge fans of the eighties and/or FLASHDANCE!

London, well known for its quirky and outrageous dress sense, owns the least amount of legwarmers at 0.001 pairs per person. If they’re going to get in to the FLASHDANCE spirit they might want to invest in a pair quickly – they won’t get very far with 0.001 of a pair of leggings! You’d have thought that with all those aspiring dancers looking for fame in London, that they’d own plenty! We anticipate that FLASHDANCE The Musical will be a huge inspiration, Tadcaster, you’re in a great position to rock the trend first!!!

As we slowly start to feel the cold(er) breeze of Winter, and leave the summer air behind, we can all start looking forward to layers and leaving that bikini (and the body to go with it!) behind! So as we start to make our Autumn/Winter wish lists, or increase the existing ones, take a look at our Catwalk Fashion pages, where you will find a huge selection of tights, hold ups, stockings and socks.

As well as a huge collection of catwalk hosiery, we have a gorgeous selection of babies tights. From beautiful floral print styles at Country Kids to striped, and plain styles at Wola. So you can treat your Rugrats while you’re spoiling yourself!
