Dots, Spots & Bows!

Friday, January 13th, 2012

This season we’ve seen lots of spots, polka dots and bows gracing the catwalks and the famous pins of celebrities and we’re glad to know the trend is set to continue through to spring!

Cosmopolitan magazine featured the Pamela Mann Over Sized Spot Tights which are a favourite of ours and are continuing to be the perfect party tights.

Celebs such as Fearne Cotton and Cheryl Cole have worn the Wolford Bonnie Dots tights and Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker was recently spotted in the Wolford Secret Bows tights.

There’s too many spots, dots and bows tights that i love so here’s a large selection of the favourites! Check out the spots and bows page for more products.

Invest some spotty tights, or bow patterned tights and you won’t go wrong!

Spring Summer 2012 Fishnets

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Last week the fash pack descended on London for the much anticipated London Fashion Week. One of our favourite shows to come out of the week was Henry Holland’s ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection in which he featured an array of pastel coloured pieces. The collection had a punk-look to it and featured lots of pastel fishnets which looked fabulous! Our favourite look involved layering nude fishnets with lilac fishnet tights on top, finished off with holes in. This ripped tights look bought a punk edge to the delicate palette which worked really well.

Fishnets are still in now so stock up on yours this season here!

We Love…

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Spots and polka dots are everywhere at the moment! Since featured on autumn/winter’s catwalks by Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Stella McCartney, they have since taken over as one of the biggest trends this season and we love it!

One of the easiest ways to pull off the polka dots trend is by investing in some gorgeous spotted tights! Stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe loves these Bonny Dots Tights by Wolford and this lady has good taste. These are going to be one of the big sellers of the season, so buy yours now and rock the spotted legs look first.

For other spotted styles at a smaller price, try these lovely Pamela Mann Big All Over Spot Tights for just £7.99 or go for the smaller, cute dots with Charnos Brigitte Tights that have diamantes on the back.

Check out more spotty tights at Tights Please.

Swinging Sixties Style Is Back

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

This coming autumn/winter, sixties style is back! So dig out your knee high boots, a-line dresses and style your beehive as Jean Shrimpton inspires a retro look this season. Burberry Prorsum, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs and Christian Dior all showed gorgeous sixties inspired collections on the runway, and now it’s time to take on the trend yourself.

Polka dots are the perfect way to invest in the trend, with Marc Jacobs showing dalmatian style spots head-to-toe. These Pamela Mann Oversized Spot Tights are great and for a real sixties look, experiment with shift dresses and mini-skirts.

Marc Jacobs

These Two Tone Tights by Red or Dead give a modern spin to sixties style, wear them with a monochrome outfit, Paloma Faith style!

Red or Dead Ursula Tights

When wearing other key sixties inspired pieces such as snakeskin boots, leather skirts and faux fur coats, you can try opaque tights. Key colours for the trend include burgundy, orange, yellow or purple. Check out these Jonathan Aston 40 Denier Opaque tights in a huge range of colours.

Racy Stacey

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

If you ever needed a reason to let go of your worn out pair of leggings and invest in a new pair, I’d suggest that you head over to the pages of the Daily Mail and check out Stacey Solomon; I challenge you to find an excuse not to buy a new pair!

Being the new face of Iceland you’d think Stacey would allow herself to splash out on a new pair of leggings. At £8.00 for a pair of plain black leggings you find your self asking why she’s found herself in such a pickle.

In later images, presumably when she’s realised that she’s exposing herself more than expected, she does try to cover up the top of her leggings. Although in her defence her figure, in particular her legs, are fabulous so she’s certainly not offended anyone, except for the fashion police, in fact she probably made a few peoples day’s!

Britney Goes Green!

Friday, March 18th, 2011

For some of us reducing our carbon footprint is important something that benefits the whole world, so making a fashion accessory out of it, ala Britney Spears, is just another reason to go green!

Forget throwing away your old tights this season, ladder them to within an inch of their lives team with leather and you’ll be on to a winner!

For those of you who aren’t feeling too creative, or green, try out the Pretty Polly Shredded Fashion Tights, £8.50, or the Jonathan Aston Distressed Tights, £10, are also a great alternative to doing it yourself!

Have a great weekend!
