Royal Fever With New Princess Diana Film

This week has seen Naomi Watts photographed on the set of new film ‘Caught in flight’ where she will play Diana Princess of Wales. The film will focus on the last two years of Diana’s life and Watts claims it is an honour to play the role.
Although she gained exceptional fame through her various charity works and the scandal surrounding her marriage, Princess Diana also became famous for being one of the most influential women in fashion, therefore we can’t wait to see how she is portrayed in the film.
From being on the front cover of Vogue, to visiting developing countries, Diana was loved by all and was truly the people’s princess.
1981 saw the wedding of Diana and Charles at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Whilst everyone was excited full of royal wedding fever, the public highly anticipated the best kept secret which was of course, the dress.
Emerging up the aisle it became clear that Diana had worked closely with designers Elizabeth and David Emanuel on the design of her dress- and from that moment the designers went down in history for their work on the Princess of Wales’ wedding dress.
The dress was complete with a ruffled neck, full sleeves and a 25 foot train- the longest in royal wedding history.
Keeping the dress a secret has been a continued practice, with Kate Middleton not revealing until her big day that Sarah Burton had designed her dress- a fitting tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.
With all this talk of royal fashion, we want our very own piece of it, but unfortunately without Sarah Burton queuing up to design dresses for us, we’ll have to settle for tightsplease classic sheer tights that convey the truly classic Diana/Kate style.  We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for the release of caught in flight!
