This week has seen the eagerly anticipated Chanel show at the infamous Couture Fashion week.
The show which Lagerfeld, who has designed for the fashion house since 1983, presented was one that took Chanel back to the past with various vintage connotations.
Updated with a modern twist, the show featured tweed skirts, woollen beanie hats, and of course shimmering silver tights that gave the outfits their uniqueness.
The Lurex tights added sparkle to an otherwise neat and structured ensemble, Tightsplease predict that Autumn Winter will see a surge of demand for these sparkly numbers that were seen on almost every outfit on the Chanel catwalk.
The trouser suits and use of classic tweed embodied classic Chanel styles and paid tribute to previous collections.
The set of the Chanel catwalk was complimented by opulent sketches of Coco’s lavish house interior which truly set the nostalgic mood alight.
Whilst many expected a signature Chanel black and white palette, creative genius Lagerfeld created a fresh look on the catwalk underpinned by past eras including elements of 50s and 60s design.
Other collections to grace the catwalk included Raf Simons debut collection for Dior. Readily awaited by the audience, the collection is said to have wowed the fashion world channelling an elegant look conveying true Dior style. The show included impeccable tailoring and enviable silhouettes.
Whilst we continue to lust after all collections at Couture Fashion Week, we can’t help but get our own Chanel fix with sparkly silver tights here at Tightsplease, our Pamela Mann Highball Lurex silver Tights create the perfect Chanel style for us to walk our own catwalk!
