A quick trend, born in the eighties, leggings became a huge trend in 2006, and never left! We all thought it would be another fashion fad, not expected to last longer than the seams sewn to put them together. “I remember wearing them the first time round!” echoed around every household as daughters emerged from their bedrooms in the eighties staple!
Didn’t we seriously under estimate the leggings trend! It lasted longer than most of the retailers stocking them; battling through the credit crunch! Who hasn’t got a pair?!
The best thing is how they’ve evolved, not only do we need the staple black leggings, but we now have leggings with metallic stripes, leggings with holes in and wet look leggings! We are totally spoilt for choice, but one thing’s for sure, they aren’t going anywhere!
